    If Terminal reports “codex: command not found”, first run npm install -g @openai/codex, reopen Terminal, and confirm codex plugin --help works.

What gets synchronized?

Editable sessions appear as Codex tasks. Web requests run separately; approved Hooks return direct Desktop turns to the same shared history.

A new local task creates a personal Solo only after its first completed turn. Viewer tasks stay local.

This page only copies commands. No token is placed in a command, URL, or shared history.

    Requires Node 24+ and pnpm 10. Add the GatherThread plugin to the DSH Web profile.

    Open Settings → GatherThread / 共序 in DSH. Paste the current local, LAN, self-hosted, or Tailscale server, then choose “Sign in and pair”.

    Codex fallback context budgetUse the Agent's native context management. This value is only Codex's fallback estimate when its model window is unavailable; it does not resize a model. DSH keeps its own compaction settings.

    Applies to future Agent requests started from GatherThread and explicit MCP context reads. It does not rewrite a running turn, remove existing Codex Desktop task history, or replace history already injected into ordinary DSH sessions.

    This uses your selected local Agent and may consume model quota. Only the selected records are supplied as this request's shared-history context; this does not guarantee sandbox isolation from local tools or files. Instructions and the result are shared with session readers.

    Summaries are derived and lossy. Original records stay available. Already-loaded Codex or DSH history is not removed; native automatic compaction still manages it.
